What the machine stores

The service stores uploaded images, automatically prepared scene descriptions, generated images, captions, and generation status to provide the editing and sharing features. Uploaded image metadata is stripped during preprocessing.

Your browser session

An HTTP-only session cookie links your browser to your images. It expires after 30 days. Your browser may also store the identifier of a generation in progress so that it can resume after a refresh. Clearing your cookies can remove your access to private results.

Image processing

Images and automatically prepared instructions are sent to OpenAI for moderation, scene planning, image creation, quality review, and caption generation. Cloudflare provides website hosting, database storage, and file storage.

Sharing and retention

Uploads and results are private to your session until you create a share link. Sharing includes the original image and scene description. Files remain in the service’s storage; automatic deletion is not currently enabled.

Waitlist and referrals

The waitlist saves your wallet address, optional ENS name, X handle, submitted post URL and referral information in the existing Mooniez Supabase database. Your browser stores your member record so you can return to your spot. The public leaderboard displays X handles, referral counts and points. ENS lookups use public Ethereum RPC services.

Service protection

One successful remix per UTC day is available for each browser session, with a few retries if a request does not finish. A shared internet connection can start several attempts so a cafe or phone network is not limited to a single visitor. Vercel forwards the connecting IP address to the application over a signed HTTPS request. The application stores a daily keyed hash for this limit and removes those limit records after two days. It does not store the raw address in its generation database. Hosting providers may retain their own security logs. The site’s API key stays on the server.
